In ancient times, the main task of a Helmsman, also known as the ship’s deck officer main task, was guiding and steering the ship in the right direction. When the ship was moored on shore, it was time to rest. The rest area had to be close to the ship’s mooring place, so that the sailor could call the helmsman on board at any time. Nowadays, a helmsman is called a co-driver, whose main task is to get to “Melnsils” fast enough, to relax in the “Helmsman’s cabin” after the trip. There is a bed place not only for the helmsman himself, but also for his companion.

The room is equipped with a double bed (blanket, pillows, bed linen, towels), toilet and shower, a kitchen area and a roof window with view to the sea and “Melnsils” territory. Parking in the car parking lot is included in the price. For an additional charge, there are available: hot tub, sauna, grill, table with benches, firewood, coals, deckchairs, sport equipment rental (SUP boards, kayaks, rowing boat, bicycles).

Spending the night by the sea tends to bring an amazing range of emotions. The nature has it’s own rules and is not always peaceful - water, sun, wind and sand do as they wish that’s why it’s important to dress according to the weather.
